History: Meteorite NWA 14793 is a CV3-type carbonaceous chondrite, one of the most primitive and least altered types in existence. Its name comes from the "Northwest Africa" ​​designation used to identify meteorites recovered from this vast, desert region of northwest Africa, where it was discovered in 2021.
