Prognathodon is a gender extinct from sauropsids mosasaurids who lived during Upper Cretaceous, in what is now North America, Europe, and Africa. Related to the current monitor lizards, these marine reptiles were very successful predators that, if not for the extinction Cretaceous-Paleogene, most likely would stay with us.
