Description: Extraordinary collection. Fossils expertly sandblasted. 100% natural, no repairs, only the joining of broken stones, as is customary.

The Fezouata Formation, or Fezouata Shale, contains extraordinary fossils because the animals were rapidly buried by storm deposits of silt and clay, conditions favorable for the preservation of soft tissues (now pyritized or altered by a mixture of iron oxides and hydroxides, hence their orange-red color). The fossils belong to two age intervals, the Tremadocian and the Floian, the latter being much less rich in fossils.
