Description: Wonderful fragment of the jaw of Prognathodon curii. This species is much less common than P. anceps. It doesn't have any restoration, only it has been reinforced with liquid consolidant on the teeth to harden them and give aesthetics, it is undoubtedly a unique piece.The enamel of this piece is 100% natural, it has no restorations or paint.

 

Prognathodon is an extinct gender of mosasaurid saurops that lived during the Late Cretaceous in present-day North America, Europe, and Africa. Related to modern lizards, these marine reptiles were highly successful predators that, had it not been for the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction, would most likely still be with us.
