Description: Plumulites was an armored slug or worm. The armored annelid worm is the relative of the earthworm, the leech, and the modern bristle worm. In general, the preservation of these fossils is incomplete and poor, as they were soft-bodied. This particular specimen is exceptionally well preserved and has an orange rust patina showing excellent detail of the feathery appendages. Well preserved fossil, 100% natural, without restoration or painting.
