Description: Eucrites type meteorites are a group of igneous meteorites that belong to the HED class of meteorites (Howardites, Eucrites and Diogenites). These meteorites originated from the asteroid Vesta, one of the largest bodies in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Polymictic Eucrites are so called because of their polycrystalline composition, which means that they are formed by a mixture of different minerals. These meteorites have undergone complex geological processes on the asteroid, such as crystallization and partial melting, which has led to the presence of various minerals, including pyroxenes, plagioclases and olivines. These meteorites provide valuable information about the geological history of Vesta and the magmatic processes that occurred on its surface. Their study contributes to our understanding of the evolution of asteroids and the formation of the solar system.
