Description: This specimen of Austerops smoothops is found alongside another trilobite that we have been unable to identify due to its small size. The rock in this quarry is extremely hard due to its high silica content, which makes the Jorf trilobites particularly valuable. Because of the sediment in the area, they fossilize in this characteristic color. This trilobite was expertly sandblasted. It is well-preserved, without repairs or paint.
This piece will travel insured in a safety package to arrive in perfect condition.
